Student Form Fields

Personal Information

Name, surname, other names, date of birth, gender, blood type, and student number.

Contact Information

Email address, phone number, physical address, and postal address.

Academic Information

Academic level, class assignment, enrollment date, and current status.

Parent Information

Primary and secondary parent details, relationship types, and contact information.

Emergency Contacts

Emergency contact name, phone number, and relationship to student.

Additional Information

Step-by-Step Instructions

Listing and Searching Students

The system provides a paginated list of all students with search functionality. You can:

Browse through all students with pagination

Search students by name, student number, or email using the search field

Filter students by academic level, class, gender, or status

View detailed information for each student by clicking on their name

Sort students by various criteria (name, enrollment date, status)

Creating New Students

To create a new student:

Click the "Add Student" button

Fill out the student form with required information:

• Personal Information: Name, surname, date of birth, gender

• Contact Information: Email, phone, address

• Academic Information: Level, class assignment

• Parent Information: Primary and secondary parent details

• Emergency Contacts: Emergency contact information

Click "Create Student" to save the new student profile

Editing Student Information

To modify an existing student:

Find the student in the list using search or filters

Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the student

Update the necessary information in the form

Managing Student Status

Students can have different statuses. To change a student status:

Locate the student in the list

Click the status dropdown in the student row

Select the new status: Active, Suspended, or Expelled

Add a note explaining the reason for the status change

Click "Update Status" to confirm the change

Managing Parent Relationships

Each student can be linked to parents or guardians. You can:

View all parents assigned to a student

Add new parent relationships with contact information

Specify relationship type (father, mother, guardian, other)

Update parent contact details and communication preferences

Remove parent relationships when necessary

Importing and Exporting Students

Bulk operations for managing multiple students:

The dashboard also provides quick access to common actions like adding new students, importing data, and generating reports.
